When I wake up these mornings, I run through a series of questions: What day is it? Where am I supposed to go? And, when I get there, what am I supposed to do?
I know in time, our changed schedules will fall into a new normal ritual. But, that’s not happening these next two weeks! Already, we face some adjustments to what happens in which place on what day—temporary adjustments, but very real ones.
WEEK OF OCTOBER 20-24
One of the early steps in repairing the stormdamaged pipe organ begins. The pipes will be removed and taken to Albany for refurbishment. That’s a huge undertaking and it requires us to close the building for the week. So, here’s our first set of adjustments:
Monday, October 20
Both morning Masses—7am and 8am—will happen at St. Lawrence Church.
Adoration and Confessions—5:30 to 7pm—will happen at St. Lawrence Church.
Tuesday, October 21
Morning Masses at St. Lawrence Church
Wednesday, October 22—no change!
Thursday, October 23
Both morning Masses—7am and 8am—will happen at St. Ann Church.
Adoration and Confessions—5:30 to 7pm—will happen at St. Ann Church.
Friday, October 24
Morning Masses at St Ann Church
WEEK OF OCTOBER 27-31
All our priests will be at the annual Priests Convocation from Monday afternoon through Thursday morning. As in recent years, Fr. Cummings will hear confessions (without adoration) Monday 5:30 to 7pm. Tuesday through Thursday, Mass will be offered at St. Boniface at 8am.
Normal Mass times on Monday and Friday. Normal Confession and Adoration times on Thursday evening.
